ERC-777
ERC-777 is an advanced Ethereum token standard that was introduced as an improvement over the widely used ERC-20 standard. ERC-777 adds more flexibility and functionality while maintaining backward compatibility with ERC-20. One of the main enhancements of ERC-777 is the introduction of "hooks," which allow smart contracts to react to token transfers, providing greater flexibility for complex interactions between contracts. ERC-777 also improves the efficiency of token transfers by reducing the number of steps required to move tokens. Another important feature is its support for "operators," allowing third parties to manage tokens on behalf of the holder, adding a layer of delegation and automation. Despite its improvements, ERC-777 hasn’t yet seen the same level of adoption as ERC-20 but is still a valuable option for developers looking for more advanced token functionalities.
